Have you heard the 'buzz' about the "Re-creation of Recreation" master plan? Lexington City Council and City Manager Alan Carson embraced the vision to completely revamp recreational facilities. The four project plan is halfway through completion.
Lexington Aquatic Park, formerly known as Hillside Pool, is a competition-size swimming pool and pool house with ADA accessibility that is new for citizens to enjoy.
The renovation of Washington Park is also complete and includes a 4000 sq. ft. sprayground and updated facilities and amenities.
Plans are in progress to convert Radcliffe Park into a Skate Park. The design has been completed and construction is slated to begin soon.
The final project will be a new youth recreation center. This is something that was recommended in four different studies.
Check out the progress made so far on the Skate / BMX Park, and stayed tuned for more updates!
