Located at 500 Glendale Road, the wastewater treatment plant operates with certified professionals treating the City of Lexington’s wastewater capacity of 6.5 million gallons per day. The City produces and sells compost to the public to minimize the cost of disposal of residuals. The City also provides a service to septic haulers to serve businesses and other Davidson County residents who need a dumping site for their waste.
Pretreatment Program Coordinator Gisele Comer provides a service to industries with information regarding compliance of strict state standards. The staff of the Wastewater Treatment Plant, along with the Water Resources Superintendent, provides education materials and classes to local schools.
