Park Attendants performs routine custodial and grounds maintenance at parks and facilities, opening and closing park, patrolling and securing facilities, reporting repairs needed for playground and picnic equipment. Takes charge of checking reservations for ball fields and shelters on evenings and weekends. May help with concessions, scorekeeping, crowd control, special events or other Parks and Recreation departmental activities as assigned.

This position works alone and is primarily outdoors.

Minimum Qualifications
• Ability to perform light physical labor in all weather conditions;
• Knowledge of basic grounds maintenance work;
• Minimum age of 18;
• Valid NC driver's license and good driving record;
• Ability to deal effectively with the public and co-workers.

Work Schedule
This position is primarily located at Finch Park and works every other weekend- Saturday & Sunday, 8am - dusk and rotating holiday coverage. 
There may be an opportunity for occasional evening work, additional weekend days as needed for coverage, or working at other facilities performing similar duties.
