The GIS Manager perform moderate to complex analytical, technical, professional, and administrative work in developing the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS) needs, provide training and end user support for GIS for the Utility Services Department.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree related to Geographic Information Systems and a minimum of 2 years of GIS systems work experience or Bachelor's Degree related to Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science or related field and 4 years of GIS systems work experience
Prior GIS work experience required
1 year of supervisory experience
Considerable directly related experience with GIS and Global Positioning System (GPS) concepts and applications
Thorough Knowledge of ESRI software platform
Valid NC driver’s license and good driving record

Work Schedule
Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Paid bi-weekly.
