Part-time Fire Inspector

Summary
The part-time Fire Inspector performs responsible skilled protective service, administrative, and technical work in fire prevention programs, including conducting fire prevention inspections and re-inspections for compliance with NC Building Codes and other state and local laws, assisting with developing and conducting fire prevention programs.     

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or GED
  • Valid in NC driver’s license and good driving record
  • NC Fire Prevention Level I Standard Certification 

Work Schedule
Weekdays, 19 hours per week. Paid bi-weekly.
Part-time position not exceeding 1000 hours worked per fiscal year
