The City is operating under a State of Emergency declaration related to the spread of COVID-19. The City Council meeting will be held electronically to remain consistent with limiting physical interactions to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19. As of April 27, 2020, City Council meetings are to be held electronically until further notice.

LEXINGTON CITY COUNCIL

Lexington City Council holds regularly scheduled meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 28 West Center Street, Lexington. The months of July and December are exceptions due to holiday schedules.
Anyone who needs an accommodation to participate in the meeting should notify City Administration at 336-248-3910 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting or call North Carolina Relay at 1-800-735-8262.
The agenda and minutes for the meeting are posted online here. If you are a new visitor, there is an option to “Register” to the left of the search bar, which allows citizens to receive an email when an update to online agenda information is posted to the website.
The agenda is routinely posted on Friday before the meeting date. The minutes must be officially approved by City Council; therefore, minutes are posted once reviewed and approved by City Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
