CodeRED is a community notification system for Lexington residents at no additional cost. Once you enroll, the City will send you alerts about time-sensitive and/or emergency information that may impact your area via text message and/or email.
You must be enrolled in this program to receive CodeRED alerts.
After I sign up for CodeRED what will the City send me alerts for?
Lexington's community alert system sends emergency & time-sensitive alerts to residents enrolled in the program for things like:
- Utility Outages
- Road Closures/Traffic Conditions
- Public Safety Notices
- Fires
- Inclement weather warnings
If I don't enroll in the program will the City still send me CodeRED alerts?
No. You must sign-up for CodeRED to receive alerts.
