CANCELLATION NOTICE 
City Council Meeting

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the October 12, 2020, Lexington City Council scheduled meeting has been canceled. City Council’s next regularly scheduled meeting will take place on October 26, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. in the Auditorium of the Edward C. Smith Civic Center. A separate notice and information will be provided.

Screening is required prior to entering the building, during the period in which COVID-19 protocols are in place or until further notice.

The City is operating under a State of Emergency declaration related to the spread of COVID-19. Adhering to the recommended guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State of North Carolina Governor Cooper, the City makes efforts to safely accommodate City Council, staff, and persons wishing to address City Council by reducing audience to 25 on a First-come, First-served basis, and no Re-entry.

1.  Persons interested in speaking, by electronic means, must sign up in advance by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting, by contacting Emily Michael at 336-248-3910.

Anyone who needs an accommodation to participate in the meeting should notify City Administration at 336-248-3910 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting or call North Carolina Relay at 1-800-735-8262.
