PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Lexington Planning Board held a Special meeting on May 28, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. to consider applications of two Major Zoning Permits for the conversion of Dunbar School into apartments located 301 Smith Avenue, and to construct an apartment complex located at 3397 Old Salisbury Road. The Lexington Planning Board recessed to reconvene on June 1, 2020, at 6 p.m. Due to Covid-19, this meeting will be conducted as an electronic meeting.

Persons wishing to provide written comments may do so prior to 4:00 p.m. on June 1, 2020, by emailing JTMONK@LexingtonNC.gov and those comments will be read into the record at the “Public Meeting.” Additionally, written comments on the two Major Zoning Permits will be accepted up to at least 24-hours after the close of the “public meeting” and such written comments may be made by emailing JTMONK@LexingtonNC.gov and will be forwarded to Planning Board Members prior to its recommendation to City Council.
The Planning Board/Board of Adjustment holds regularly scheduled meetings on the third Monday of the month at City Hall at 6:00 p.m. Visit the Business and Community Development calendar to find the next scheduled meeting.
