SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT the Lexington City Council will hold a Special Meeting on September 16, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the auditorium of the Edward C. Smith Civic Center located at 217 South Main Street, Lexington, North Carolina.

The purpose of this meeting is for Council to go into closed session in accordance to North Carolina General Statute 143-318.11(a)(6) concerning a personnel matter.

This the 27th day of August, 2020.

Lexington City Council holds regularly scheduled meetings on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, located at 28 West Center Street, Lexington.  The months of July and December are exceptions due to holiday schedules.

Anyone who needs an accommodation to participate in the meeting should notify City Administration at 336-248-3910 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting or call North Carolina Relay at 1-800-735-8262. 

The agenda and minutes for the meeting are posted online here.  If you are a new visitor, there is an option to “Register” to the left of the search bar, which allows citizens to receive an email when an update to online agenda information is posted to the website. 

The agenda is routinely posted on Friday before the meeting date.  The minutes must be officially approved by City Council; therefore, minutes are posted once reviewed and approved by City Council at the next regularly scheduled meeting.
