Screening is required prior to entering the building, during the period in which COVID-19 protocols are in place or until further notice.

The City is operating under a State of Emergency declaration related to the spread of COVID-19. Adhering to the recommended guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State of North Carolina Governor Cooper, the City makes efforts to safely accommodate City Council, staff, and persons wishing to address City Council on a First-come, First-served basis.

1.  Persons interested in speaking, by electronic means, must sign up in advance by 4:00 p.m. on the day of the meeting, by contacting: City Clerk, Emily Jackson at 336-248-3910.

View the Lexington City Council Meeting Schedule. City Council meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m 

Anyone who needs an accommodation to participate in the meeting should notify City Administration at 336-248-3910 at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the meeting or call North Carolina Relay at 1-800-735-8262. 

The agenda and minutes for the meeting are posted online here.  If you are a new visitor, there is an option to “Register” to the left of the search bar, which allows citizens to receive an email when an update to online agenda information is posted to the website.
