Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) Certification Workshop:
The North Carolina Office for Historically Underutilized Businesses was established on April 20, 1999, by signing Executive Order 150. The mission of this office is to promote the economic opportunities for historically underutilized businesses in State Government contracting and procurement that will foster their growth and profitability.
The City of Lexington DEI department will host a workshop on September 12, 2022, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm to prepare individuals for HUB certification. Dr. Smyre is also the Title VI Coordinator and welcomes the opportunity to close barriers to small business financial success. Hosting the event of HUB certification is a tremendous opportunity to bridge the gaps to obtaining local and state procurement opportunities for economic empowerment for local small business owners.
We look forward to you attending this free workshop that will provide tools for individuals to become HUB certified.
