White Goods/Appliances
Appliances such as stoves, dishwashers, water heaters, washers, dryers, etc.
If the Recycling and Waste Collection department collects an appliance, the customer will be charged $25 per appliance collected.
Note: Fees are set and adopted by City Council and are subject to change.
A customer also has the option to dispose of an appliance themselves at the Davidson County Landfill.
Electronics Recycling Program
Electronic items accepted but not limited to: televisions, computers, laptops and associated hardware, monitors, display screens, cables, keyboards, UPS battery backup systems, printers, scanners, speakers, terminals, telephones and palm pilots, copiers, VCRs, DVD players, movie equipment, iPods, MP3 players and much more. For large amounts of items or any questions concerning an electronic item, please contact us or call the office at 336-243-2489.
Tires
Tire Collection service, off rim, is available for a $10 fee per tire collected.

A customer also has the option to dispose of used tires themselves at the Davidson County Landfill.
Furniture/Bulky Items
Place bulky items at the curb or roadside no later than 6:00 am on the day of your normal garbage collection.
Mixed Debris
Due to federal, state and county disposal regulations, mixed piles of garbage, trash, and brush will not be collected.
Dead Animals
Small dead animals of less than (50) pounds will be collected by the city provided the carcasses are bagged and placed at the curb or accessible location to the collector. Owners of large dead animals will be responsible for their removal and disposal.
