A quick reference resource list of City Clerk responsibilities are listed below:

• Maintaining complete and accurate records of all City Council proceedings and meetings as well as all official City files
• Preparing, distributing and posting agenda materials and minutes of City Council meetings
• Preparing and publishing notices of public meetings and hearings
• Ensuring the City's Code of Ordinances is accurate and routinely updated
• Maintaining applications, comprehensive list, terms of office and attendance of Boards and Commissions members and administering Oaths of Office to each new member
• Preserving the legal and historical integrity of City government through maintenance of official legal records.
• Resources for Records Management

The City Clerk's Office serves as custodian of the City Charter and City Code of Ordinances; provides access, information and research of records to the public, staff and City Council; publishes notices, notices of public hearings and other legal advertisements; serves as the repository for many State required files; and archives and preserves historical records.

Administers Council approved processes for board appointments and maintains records for City Council's Advisory Boards and Commissions; and tracks and coordinates all applications and appointments.
