Shelter Reservations

Lexington Parks and Recreation has 5 shelters at Finch Park that are available for reservation. Shelters at all other City Parks are open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. If your organization is interested in utilizing a City park for a special event, please review the Rules and Application for Special Use of Parks.

Additional Information: No alcohol is permitted. We do not permit any type of confetti, balloon releases, or any other substances to be released at Finch Park because of potential harm it can cause wildlife or nature, as well as the cleanup required. This applies to all gatherings, including gender reveals, memorial events and parties. All amplified sound must be contained within the shelter area, and cannot impact other attendees throughout the park. Outside grills, bounce houses, livestock, motorized vehicles, are prohibited. Renter must follow all ordinances pertaining to park usage as found in the City of Lexington Code of Ordinances, Section 7.2.

Athletic Field Rentals

Lexington Parks and Recreation has 3 ball fields, and 1 multi-purpose field at Finch Park that are available for reservation. We also have fields at the Robbins Recreation Center, Pickett School Park, and Old Charles England that can be rented. If your organization is interested in utilizing a City park for a special event, please review the Rules and Application for Special Use of Parks.

Robbins Recreation Center Rentals

Need a place for your next gathering, reunion, or celebration?  The Robbins Recreation Center provides a large room that accommodates 60-75 people and includes tables and chairs, and restrooms are conveniently located within the facility. All set up and break down is included within the rental timeframe. For additional information, or to view the facility, please call 336-248-3960.

Additional Information:

• No alcohol is permitted.
• Nothing may be hung from the walls or ceiling and no bulb may be removed or replaced in light fixtures.
• Smoke and fog machines are not permitted.
• Confetti, glitter, colored powders, etc are not allowed inside or outside.
• All amplified sound must be contained within the activity room.
• Lessee is responsible for the conduct of children and adults at all times during the rental.
• Amplified sound must be contained within the rented space.
• No entrance fee or ticketed events are permitted.
• No fundraising of any kind may take place in the facility. 
• Teen parties such as birthdays, graduations, etc. will require City of Lexington police officer(s). Lessee agrees to contact Lexington Police Department and arrange for officer(s) to be present at the event and provide proof at least thirty (30) days prior to rental date.
